RSM's are just routers plugged directly into switch-fabric level ports
in the chassies. The sitation isn't particularly different than if
they we 7xxx's connected via ethernet.

They can share vlan's as long as the IP interface IP's are different,
they don't have to share, but keep in mind the it's the switch or
web of switches that define the vlan ID space, not the router.

HSRP is left as an excercise to the reader.

You need to review the 5509 and RSM install documentation as far as
the "any slot" isues - it differs between 5xxx models with the 5500
probably having the most restrictions.
