Duplex auto-negotiation has been strictly forbidden on all production
networks upon which I have worked for the past 3 years. Bob Metcalfe
has made a bit of a production over the years of making public
apologies for the Ethernet AUI slide lock connector; anyone who was
partially responsible for the duplex negotiation specification should
take a hint from Bob and do likewise.
