according to cisco, this is mostly a cosmetic issue. here's the

We used to chunk-malloc (efficiet malloc) for AS path
length that was less than 50 autonomous systems (100 bytes).
In case the as-path length was longer, we fall back on the
regular malloc and print out a message *every* time this
situation was encounterd. However, the router should continue
to work normally.
With CSCdr07279, we chunk-malloc for an as-path of uptp 125
autonomous systems. Also we print the message only *once*.
--also, this problem occurred about a month and a half back and has happened a couple of times since then.
