Neil,

a worth try could be configuring more specifics to the prefered
interface. The more specifics could be distributed with an IGP.

ip route 192.168.1.0/25 gi0/0
ip route 192.168.1.128/25 gi0/0

interface gi0/0
 ip address 192.168.1.1/24

interface e0
 ip address 192.168.1.2/24
