RE: [nsp] Doing VLANS with HP switch & Cisco Router

As I understand it, you have to use a fast ethernet port _and_ you have to
be running (at least) the IP Plus IOS feature set. I don't believe the
baseline IOS feature set supports 802.1q or any VLAN tagging for that
matter.

If I'm wrong, someone please tell me, becuase I've been spending extra $$$
on each router to get the IP Plus licence. However, I'm absolutely
positive that you have to be on a FE port to use VLANs.
