I believe a 7500 and 7200 can use the same formatted flash card. A 7000 router however will require a reformatting of the card if it came from a 7200/7500.

Have you tried a 7500 formatted card in the 7200. If problems with it - why not just reformat the card in the 7200 and download a new image to it?

Thanks

Subject: [nsp] 7200 and flash cards

Hey,

Is there any other platform that can format a flash card for a 7200
series router? Looking on cco, they say that the 7x00 series uses the
same file system but it is missing the majic number when formatted on a
7000/7500 and then having a 7200 access the flash card...

Thoughts would be helpful....

TIA
