Roy,

Is interface Serial 3/0/5:0 up/up? If not, the interface will not respond to
ping requests.

Subject: [nsp] i can't ping my own interface

I'm using Cisco 7513 router with Controller E1 interface on the VIP2/50.
I
setup two point-to-point E1 link which is terminated on my 7513 E1
controller
and the other end is on the Cisco 3660 Controller E1 module. I limit the
timeslot of the two routers to 1-24 and also enable to use the timeslot 16.
The problem is when i ping my own serial interface on the serial 3/05/:0
7513 (serial 3/0/5:0 = controller 3/0/5) i'm getting a 0% success but when i
ping all of the interfaces on the 3660 it works fine. Aside from the
problem
pinging my own interface i observed everything works fine.

thanks,
roy
