Hi Hank,

while WCCP can be used to deploy Reverse-Proxy-Cache services, it may not
be ideal --
WCCP will only operate using layer-4 information about flows.

in terms of HTTP, this means that it cannot discriminate between what flows
are "cachable" and which flows are for "dynamic content".
as such, many RPC scenarios won't scale as well as when you can use layer-5
thru layer-7 information in an intercept/don't-intercept decision.
you may want to look at http://www.cisco.com/go/11000 instead.

is, i can probably provide more detailed information.
