Edward,

You've configured your real servers with a default gateway address of the
Local Director IP address. However, the IP is in Local Director only for
management (telnet access). Local Director does not act as a router. It's
a bridge.

You need to assign your 10.1.1.3 gateway address to your router for it to be
the default gateway for your 10.1.1.1 and 10.1.1.2 machines. The interface
on the router almost certainly already has an address, so add 10.1.1.3 as a
secondary address or via a subinterface.

Subject: [nsp] ld 430 woes

Hi Guys,
I have been trying to set up an LD in the following
config:

Number of Real Servers :2
 REAL Server IP address 1 : 10.1.1.1/24
 READ Server IP address 2 : 10.1.1.2/24

Local Director IP Address : 10.1.1.3/24
Alias IP address : 202.140.140.1/24 ( Valid IP )
Virtual IP address : 202.140.140.2/24
Router IP address : 202.140.140.51/24
DEfault route on LD = 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 202.140.140.51

Default gateway on server 10.1.1.1= 10.1.1.3
Default gateway on server 10.1.1.2= 10.1.1.3

Now I can ping the LD as well as th virtual IP
address. However, I cant conenct to the WEb Server :(
The web service is runnng fine and I'm sure that the
ports are fine.

Have any of you guys configured an LD (not in ASLB
config ) with the Virtual IP on one subnet while the
real IP's on a different subnet ????

Havent found ANY CISCO documentation that gives sample
configs for the above scenarios. Most of the doc is
with the real and virtual ips on the same subnet.

ANy help would be highly appreciated !!

Rgds,

Edward
