there you can find pocket guides (PDF format) to Communications technologies
and testing including ATM, ISDN, SONET and SDH.

there is a slight difference though on working with SONET and SDH, even when
OC3 is the equivalent of STM-1. Learned this when we tested our T3 link
loaded
into an STM-1 frame. Our transmission guys showed us how (that's because I
work in a telco now also in Internet).

Has anyone come across a good guide to troubleshooting/understanding
SDH ?

We are working with a carrier on some OC12 links and a "show controllers"
gives me lots of info , if only I could understand it better.
