For the "recommended" replacements, simply go to Cisco's site - not
exactly brain surgery :)

As to why they're EOL'ing (they're not - they're simply stopping sales of
new units) such great, well-proven products, I'd suspect it's simply an
effort to boost price points by hyping GE technology & aiming such toward
those who don't yet need it.

If this results in a glut of 2912/2924's and 3512/3524/3548's, I would
strongly recommend grabbing them, as they're great switches, and both
series handle standards-based .1q vlans extremely well.

These boxes won't be EOL'd until 2005. There's a *big* difference
between end-of-sales and end-of-life.
