You have to configure the router for EIGRP. I have many 2501's and smaller
routers such as 1005's running EIGRP. In the config, enter these commands

router eigrp (internal AS)
 redistribute static (this will redestribute your static routes into your
eigrp network)
 redistribute connected (same as above, except this time will use the
devices that are "connected")
 network x.x.x.x (this needs to be the /24 that the serial interfaces on
this router are on, ie, your serial interfaces are 10.10.10.23 and
10.10.10.56, then you would need network 10.10.10.0)

and that's it, all routers connected to this router, and have their eigrp
configed right, will start learning routes...

eigrp is very easy and effective...
