   Thanks for the answer. The ios versions you pointed me to are
available
for high end routers only. I'd need the feature on 3600 box as well.
Could you, please, check that for me?

I don't know much about Cat hardware dependencies, but in general CEF is
built from the routing table, so the limit of 6 comes from the routing
table only keeping 6 paths to the same destination. The limit has been
raised to 8 for now in 12.0(14)ST, 12.0(14)SC, and 12.0(14)S.
