Hello...
I am being forced to inter-operate with a private-managed network (all Bay
routers). We deployed 2 6509s set up in a fault tolerant mode (two MSFCs
running HSRP) and connected them via Ethernet to a Bay ASN stack which is
the ABR for our area. All seems well and I can see most of the managed
network most of the time, but I am noticing a high turnover rate in the
routing table. The average route-age of the entire route table is never
over 30 minutes, and sometimes the route table's routes are turned every
5-10 minutes.
My question; is there anything special I need to know while working with the
Bay routers that might cause this issue? The neighbor adjacencies between
the Bay and between the two MSFCs seem very stable (all have been up for
over 4 days) but this "churn" continues.
I have been running debug ip ospf packet, adjacency, and events, but I am
not noticing anything strange. Anyone have any other ideas about ways to
discover why my routers might be dumping the tables every few minutes?
