    Micky,

All GSR chassis support the 3 port GE. The message you saw on the LC LED
indicates that the IOS has been downloaded from the GRP to the LC and is
running in the DRAM, however the LC itself is not enabled yet and not ready
for use.

Look at the outputs of the following command:
    sh diag <slot#>
    sh gsr slot <slot#>
sh controller fia, look for crc16 errors

Have you tried in a different slot?

      Hi Mr.nsp

My GSR12012 is running IOS ver 12.0.15s1
When I finished inserting the line card,I found card was detected
by IOS
But the front panel led showed "up" ,not "run"
It's very strange, this caused GE port to be down

         Anyone about this condition ?

         Thanks
         Have a nice weekend
                   Micky
