Greets,

I was wondering if anyone out there is successfully running a similar
configuration as described below;

Dual redundant 6509s with Sup2s, presently running 12.1(13)E4. SFMs, and
perhaps more importantly Content Switch Modules (WS-X6066-SLB-APC) running
3.1(2) software.

I have recently installed 10/100/1000 RJ45 48 Port blades only to then after
the fact realise I need an IOS upgrade (sigh). I fished out the thread of a
couple of months ago about the discrepancy in Cisco's support of these new
line cards. The product release says 12.1(19)E, but the IOS release notes
reveal it's not actually until 12.1(19)E1. I now see 12.1(20)E is available
in this major release train.

This talk of software upgrade on core devices always makes me nervous - and
I'm especially concerned about the co-habitation of the CSM Software with a
jump in IOS. The preferred IOS version for the CSM software is as installed,
12.1(13)E.

Just wondering if there's anyone out there and active on this list in a
similar boat.
