We have a customer that is also using a 2948G-L3, and it also locks up
every now and then. The chassis has already been swapped, various IOS
versions tested (right now we're at cat2948g-in-mz.120-14.W5.20.bin) but
still the problem persists.

It's very unusual for Cisco switches, and we are quite dissatisfied.

(We do not have direct Cisco TAC support, just our "gold partner", and
they haven't been overly helpful so far in making Cisco fix this)

If you find out anything about this, I'd be interested to hear about it.
