Hi Richard

There have been a few advisories regarding the NPE-G1s, and I have had
my share of issues with G1s (including most listed in the advisories,
but nothing like yours on a G1). I did notice a similar issue but that
was when one of our guys was trying to get a NPE-400 (and IO) to work
with a non-VXR chassis.

You could try reseating the NPE, but if it doesn't work, then its most
certainly gone fubar. (raise an RMA)

Rgds

Nick

Howdy'

I have a brand new Cisco 7206VXR with NPE-G1. I suspect to NPE-G1 to
have
gone kaputt. It has been working ok in the test lab but now it doesnt
boot.

when powered on, the LEDs for power and Gi0/1-3 come on that is it ,
doesnt
go through the usual boot up sequence .
Also there is nothing being output on the console nor the Aux port,

Could it be dead or there is something else I need to check?

regards

./bosire
