This is nonsense.

If it doesn't work against the DE-CIX switches, there's a problem in
the switches.

We've been running 12.3(11)T2 on 7401s for quite a while now, they
are doing port-channels with v4 and v6, router-on-a-stick, CEF,
netflow, a handful of full feeds, you name it. Rock solid.

Maybe it's an issue with GE-Channel; we're using the FE interfaces
on the 7401, even though they are registered with the system as
GigE0/0..1.

I have alas seen 3661s reboot when adding a port to a channel,
somewhere in the 12.2T train.

PS: Same stability on 7301 with 12.3(8)T here, but still, this is
    not a big box. I'll try that on the SUP720B.
