There's no such thing as a perfect transmission line.  Reflections,
impedance lumpiness, and things not being quite up to snuff are facts
of life.  That's why we have tolerances on things.

So, *if* the cable run is short, and *if* the legs of your "Y" are as
short as possible, and *if* you have one set of transmitter/receiver
shut down, and *if* it is your lucky day, it may just work!
