On the 1711, there is error when booting up...:
"

memory.
Processor board ID FOC084321FP (370161312), with hardware revision 0000

1 Serial interface

"
If I put another one in there:"
ip sla monitor 11
 type echo protocol ipIcmpEcho 1.2.3.4 source-interface FastEthernet0
ip sla monitor schedule 11 life forever start-time now"
Using FastEthernet0, then this one stick. Seems like a bug that the router
trying to put a command related to an interface in before activate the
interface itself.

One related question...anyone in the Us uses the 1712 for ISDN backup to
DSL? If so, what kind of adapter do you guys use?

Thanks.

Luan

Subject: [c-nsp] ip sla monitor commands not persistent during reboots

Noted some days ago and verified now again, at least on 1712 platform:

starting with 12.3(14)T and 12.4(1) all "ip sla monitor" commands are lost
during reboots which is quite annoying, when i.e. using it with track for
dialbackup (what finally seems to really work now)

Is this some kind of feature, have I missed something or can be considered a
bug ?

I'm simply doing something like this:
--- cut ---
ip sla monitor 10
type echo protocol ipIcmpEcho 1.2.3.4 source-interface Dialer11 frequency
30 ip sla monitor schedule 10 life forever start-time now
--- cut ---

The funny thing is, before reloading the commands appear in the
startup-config and the router doesn't complain while booting up so it seems
to get silently purged out at some stage..

Michael
