Hello -

I am trying to determine if the CIGESM will actually support 9000 byte
jumbo frames or not. The 2950 documentation at Cisco's site says it will
not:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps700/products_configura
tion_example09186a008010edab.shtml#subtopic1D

However, the CIGESM will take the command:
wibc1fcsw2#sh system mtu
System MTU size is 1500 bytes

switch#config t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
switch(config)#system mtu ?
  <1500-9216>  MTU size in bytes

switch(config)#system mtu 9000
switch(config)#end
wibc1fcsw2#sh system mtu
System MTU size is 9000 bytes

switch#

Anybody tried using jumbo frames on the CIGESM to know if it actually
works?

>From reading the IBM CIGESM doc it looks like the switch module can
forward 9000 byte frames sent to the processor must be 1500 bytes or
smaller.

Thanks,
McLean
