The VWIC-[12]MFT were not counterfeited, the VWIC2-[12]MFT are
absolutely counterfeit if you're getting them for way less than you
would expect to pay for new Cisco gear. Both the WIC-1DSU-T1 and
WIC-1DSU-T2-V2 have been counterfeited.

I despise counterfeits - I got a batch of 1721s that looked like
brand new kit about two years ago ... half of them went slowly and
indescribably crazy. I know how to deal with power supply failure,
mainboard, slot, or card failure, and I can hunt down configuration
problems like nobody's business, but I just don't have a cure for a
machine that won't behave while an identical twin purchased new from
Cisco runs flawlessly with the very same code and config. Oh, and when
attempting to get Cisco to service these brand new devices I found that
all of their serial numbers were already registered in South America.
*still foaming at the mouth over this memory*

Unless you *really* know what you're doing you should purchase Cisco
product from an authorized Cisco reseller, and you should be suspicious
of prices that are too good to be true, as even the authorized will try
and slip the occasional Ebay purchased WIC into an official Cisco chassis.
