Oh yes, that would make a lot of sense.

I thought there might be something in CISCO-SWITCH-ENGINE-MIB, but
couldn't find it. There is a very useful table for TCAM usage, but it
only has counters for the more "exotic" uses of TCAM on the
Cat6500/7600 OSR. Here's sample output from one of our Sup720s (3BXL)

: leinen at smirnov[leinen]; snmptable -Ci -Cb ce3 cseTcamUsageTable
SNMP table: CISCO-SWITCH-ENGINE-MIB::cseTcamUsageTable

                index                                        Descr Used Total
  4021.aclStorageMask Security Acl Mask Tcam Usage on module 5 90 4096
 4021.aclStorageValue Security Acl Value Tcam Usage on module 5 450 32768
  4021.qosStorageMask Qos Acl Mask Tcam Usage on module 5 17 4096
 4021.qosStorageValue Qos Acl Value Tcam Usage on module 5 96 32768
  4021.l4PortOperator Layer 4 Port Operator Tcam Usage on module 5    0   128
4021.interfaceMapping Inteface Mapping Tcam Usage on module 5 34 4096

Shouldn't it be simple to add utilization numbers for the various
sections of the forwarding TCAMs (IPv4 unicast ; IPv4 multicast/IPv6
unicast) as well?

But there may well be another portion of the MIB that gives
utilization information for the forwarding TCAM, and I just cannot
find it... if it exists and anybody else found it please let us know!
