Paul:

That looks all good...I would turn on the various repl commands on the eMTA
(I can send them to you, offline) and watch the action while telneted to
SSHed in.

Can you paste the eMTA config file?

Any CMTS experts on here? ;)

Cisco 7246VXR with external Linux DHCP server....

Trying to get an Arris cable modem with integrated MTA onboard for
packetcable deployment... this is on a test router but hoping to go
production shortly...

First question is why this modem isn't pingable nor web interface reachable
when online WITH baseline privacy enabled? Without BPI, modem is pingable
and web interface reachable.

dis2-rtr-bn#sh cable modem
MAC Address IP Address I/F MAC Prim RxPwr Timing Num
BPI
                                         State Sid (dBmv) Offset CPE
Enb
0015.a245.6245 xx.xx.xx.254 C3/0/U5 online(pt) 1 -0.50 1682 0

Second problem is with the secondary IP addresses. They make it to the DHCP
server but fail to make their way back through the router.

ip dhcp relay information option

interface Bundle1
ip address xx.xx.88.1 255.255.254.0 secondary
ip address xx.xx.92.1 255.255.254.0 secondary
ip address xx.xx.80.1 255.255.252.0
cable arp filter request-send 3 2
cable arp filter reply-accept 3 2
cable dhcp-giaddr policy strict
cable helper-address xx.xx.64.122

I've tried all kinds of configurations and cannot get more than the primary
IP address for the CM itself assigned - hosts behind the CM and the MTA
portion will not get an IP address but in the DHCP logs (linux) it shows it
being assigned but no ACK being received.. presume this is a Cisco specific
configuration issue but not sure....

Thanks in advance to any insight...

Paul
