[c-nsp] Weird behaviour of recent XENPAKs in Cat6500-SXF

Hi all,

we've run into weird problems with recent XENPAKs on Cat6509 platform
running 12.2(18)SXF10. These are:

- XENPAK is not recognized when plugged into shutdown port. However,
after "no shut" XENPAK comes online and passes traffic fine

- it is not possible to turn off the laser ouput. Configuring "shutdown"
disables the laser just for 2 seconds, then it comes back on.

Searching through the Cisco docs indeed confirms that for LR+, ER+ and
DWDM XENPAKs produced in 2007 a SMU is required on CRS-1 platform:

http://www.cisco.com/web/Cisco_IOS_XR_Software/pdf/xenpak_smu.pdf

However, no matching doc can be found for cat6500, or cisco7600.

We've also tested with 12.2(33)SXH - the problem is resolved.

Does anyone have an open case and/or bug ID for this issue?
Would the fix also appear in the next -SXF rebuild ?

	Thanks & kind regards,
