Has anybody worked extensively with L2PT on Trunk ports on Cisco's ME
platforms?
The documentation on their site is weak...
This may seem like a dumb question, but is L2PT "vlan aware" on a trunk
port? (yes, I realize how dumb that sounds)
Specifically, with per vlan spanning tree, (or rstp, or mst) would it
'broadcast' the stp packets received from say, vlan 10 on a trunk to all
other vlan 10s on trunk ports? and keep them separate from other VLANs?
Is there such a thing as per VLAN CDP?! I thought CDP was pretty
primitive and couldn't really be vlan aware, so how does that get
tunneled across a trunk? On all VLANs? Just One? Which one?
What if I have a dozen remote access ports all tunneling cdp (or not per
vlan stp?) back to a single trunk - which cdp do we believe? Which stp
do we believe? What if some of these remote sites are running old not
per vlan spanning tree, and some are?
