Since I am stupid and you, Rodney, are wise - and all the others
will have to show their hands ;-) - my question:

Could this mechanism be used for reacting on service degradation/loss?
By "reacting" I mean "reconfiguring the router"...

No full explanation necessary, if there are any helpful pointers that
show me the path to wisdom.
