In IOS XR, if you preconfigure interfaces and the line card 
on which they are is removed, the preconfigured statements 
will re-appear automatically. But that requires that 
interfaces were configured with the 'preconfigure' command 
to begin with.

Also, there are certain interfaces features that can only be 
verified after the MSC or FP is installed into the chassis.
