Just to follow up on this thread: we've replaced the 3rd-party ZR transceivers with genuine, used Cisco ZRs and they work just fine. Sounds like our 3rd-party ones (Turbo X) were the problem - unsure whether *any* 3rd-party ones would fail, but ours simply didn't light up. - J
