[c-nsp] Cisco 6880 - EVC/MPLS Limitations

Hi All,

Trying to clarify some limitations surrounding the 6880X platform, in terms of its support for MPLS and EVC. Specifically, the combination of the two of them.

From looking at the latest configuration guide (SUP2T/15.1SY) - http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst6500/ios/15-1SY/config_guide/sup2T/15_1_sy_swcg_2T/ethernet_virtual_connection.html#pgfId-1081503 - it initially looks as though EVC is reasonably well supported - until you get to the paragraph around restrictions. Specifically, what isn't supported on EVCs seems to include EoMPLS, QinQ and Bridge Domain Routing.

In short - is it possible to terminate a pseudowire - or other MPLS L2 machinery - into an EVC, either directly, or via a bridge-domain, on the 6880?

Regards,

Chris
