What feature sets are on the 2600 image?<br>

I'd say you don't have an image with IPSec/Encryption as the mppe command
is only available on images containing encryption.<br>

The two routers that don't pass the traffic it seems don't
exhibit the 'sh ppp mppe' command. Note that I don't use PPTP on
the router itself, just noticed that the one that is working has
some sort of PPTP-ish commands available but I don't know if it
would effect passing that traffic through the router itself.

BTW, I've tried this again through a 3640 router that seems to
have that same 'sh ppp mppe' command and it worked flawlessly, there
has to be a pattern here.
Can someone please confirm this?
