[cisco-voip] MCS 7845 Hard Drive LED Lights

Probably a hot-spare drive.

The 7845 Array configuration can be setup with that function. What is
the server being used for? Did you build the array or was it left at
factory setup. I think the setup on Unity best practice is drive 0 and 1
in a raid 1 and drives 2, 3, and 4 in a raid 5 with disk 5 as a hot
spare.

Subject: [cisco-voip] MCS 7845 Hard Drive LED Lights

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off and on
the LED display on the individual hard drives in a
7845? We had a drive go bad on us in the RAID array
and before we swapped it out , the light was out, and
on the brand new drive from HP (dispatched) the light
is also out but it rebuilt array fine. No errors in
the array management tool.

The rest of the 7845s we have have all the hard drive
LEDs lit up. We've looked all over the array config
tool, etc and can't find a setting for this.

Any ideas??
