The VG248 has feature codes you can program using the # and * key. Have you tried that? I'm sure I tried transfering using the feature codes and it worked.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Analog Cordless Phones
All,
I've got a situation where we would like to use wireless phones in one
of our offices, but do not want to use the VoIP 802.11 Wireless Phones.
Our solution is to use one of our Analog ports off of our VG248
Gateway. We get dial tone and everything fine, but transferring via
hook switch does not produce reliable results with the handset we have.
Is anyone doing this and can recommend a more compatible handset?
This is for our receptionist in our UK office. I realize your
suggestions may only be for US brand names, but I'm quite happy to ship
them a phone once I can verify results here in the US.
We have a TAC case open now to try and determine the incompatibility,
but since they do not directly support analog end user devices they can
only provide so many tips.
Thanks,
--
Anthony
