That'll do the trick!

But I found people are a little weary of loosing their directories entries. You'll juat have to be aware of that when you go this route.

Regarding remotely resetting the phone without CCM, you could try to do something with snmp to turn off/on inline power on the switch port of the phone.

Hi Tim: I basically want a phone to register with a different cluster, but only when a user directs it to do so. In this way they can get the device config off of a different cluster dynamically. So& to get it to register to a different cluster is easiest done by changing the TFTP address to the other cluster, correct?

Thanks Lelio, you say ##*## wont work eh? Thats disappointing news. Its easy enough to automate that, but if thats not a sure way to get the phone to take the changes, and you are also saying I have to use the ccmadmin website& Maybe I could simulate web requests, but isnt ccmadmin run on an applet clientside? Hmmm&

So, now Im trying to think how to cause CCM to send a reset automatically.

I think certain AXL SOAP commands might cause the phone to process a reset, but thats just my best guess from what Ive seen using AXL somewhat and not paying too close attention to whats going on.

Thanks everyone for their info; I thought maybe DHCP could be per-MAC but you guys kindly confirmed it.

What are you trying to accomplish? If you could explain why you want to change the tftp server address per device, perhaps we can come up with a different solution to accomplish the desired results.

Is there a way to change the TFTP address of a phone programmatically or with a tool?

Trying to make a service which does that... which if the user has to do that through the services menu (the only way I know how), it sorta defeats the purpose...

    Thanks guys and gals,
