I would try Arc Solutions' Arc Enterprise Console. Way better than
Cisco's out of the box solution. It will give you the functionality you
are looking for without all the extra sidecars (any, for that matter).

Subject: [cisco-voip] attendant console question

Hi all,

I have a receptionist that receives all incoming calls from our main
office number, and I would like her to monitor all user's phone lines
(50 phones) and eventually transfer calls if the user line is free. She
currently has a 7970 phone with two expansion modules, from what I
understand the attendant console is tied to the modules and the 7970
phone cannot have more than two module connected- I have a couple
questions: is there a way or a different phone which supports more than
two modules?and is there a way to make the attendant console not
dependant from the number of modules the receptionist has?

thanks in advance!
