True, IF and a big IF you can get the telco to send it down the display ie.

I think h323 does support naming if it comes via display ie. Maybe telco can change it, but I have never had luck with that.

H.323 doesn't support calling name for PRI. If you do a debug you can see the calling name come in the facility ie, but CM doesn't support this.

You need to get a 'debug isdn q931' for an inbound call to see where
the name is appearing and why CM isn't showing it.

Hi everyone-

I wanted to ask a question -

Our ISDN PRI provider has started billing us (belatedly) for an
option they have provisioned on our line some time ago, and not told
us.

It's a caller ID option called "Calling party number to name"

Before I decide that I don't want this, and they should take it off--

Does Cisco CCM support this?

Here's the details:

Cisco 2651XM running c2600-ipvoice-mz.123-8.T3
with two PRIs attached, 30 out of 47 channels live.
The gateway is in H.323 mode, with the appropriate (working fine)
config in CCM.

when you get an outside call, you get just numbers, not names..

So Bell is providing us names with our Caller ID, but I guess our
equipment is either incapable of showing that, or it's ignoring it.

Any thoughts?

Can I configure this to work, so that I can see what info -is-
available from various people?

thanks, Tim
