Hi all,

We're currently experiencing some problems with an analog fax after
transferring the gateway from callmanager 3.x to 4.1. The only thing changed
in the gateway was the IP-address of the callmanager.
The fax can receive calls, but when it wants to send it gets a busy-tone. I
checked the CDR Analysis and saw the calling number together with the called
number. I also noticed the originating device (ip of the Cisco 827-4V) but
it didn't show the destination device. At first it seems to be a routing
issue inside of the callmanager.

BUT........ the IP-phones (7960's) are in the SAME CSS as the h323 Gateway
of the analog fax. Everyone can call internal as external

The situation:

FAX --> Cisco 827-4V --> IP-Cloud --> Callmanager --> MGCP-Gateway to PSTN

========================================================
1 Cisco 827-4V which has 1 fax and 1 modem connected to it.
The dial-peer pots has a destination-pattern of 1234 and points to voice
port 1
The dial-peer voip has a destination-pattern of 0T and the IP-adress of the
CM.
========================================================
The config of the Cisco 827 on the CM (As H323 Gateway)
(Inbound Calls):
Significant Digits: All
CSS: CSS_LOCATION
Redirecting Number IE-Delivery inbound: Yes

(Outbound Calls):
Calling Party Selection: Originator
Calling Party Presentation: Allowed
Called Unknown: Cisco Callmanager
Calling Unknown: Cisco Callmanager
Called Numbering Plan: Cisco Callmanager
Calling Numbering Plan: Cisco Callmanager
Redirecting Number IE-Delivery outbound: Yes
========================================================
A Route Pattern 1234 (For the incoming calls to the fax)
Partition PT_LOCATION (This partition is in CSS: CSS_LOCATION)
Gateway: IP of Cisco 827-4V
Call Classification: OnNet
========================================================
The Calling Search Space contains:
PT_LOCATION
PT_GATEWAY
========================================================
PT_LOCATION contains a Route Pattern 0.@ (For outside calls)
Route Pattern 0.@ points to a Route List which points to a Route Group
========================================================
Route Group config:
Discard Digits: PreDot
Routegroup points to the MGCP Gateway which is connected with a PRI to the
PSTN
========================================================

Am I missing something?

Anyone in for this challenge?????

With regards,

Duncan Stork
