Re: [cisco-voip] 0 (Operator Ext) in SRST [bcc][faked-from]Thanks guys.

This brings to light another question....as far as I can tell, SRST is triggered when something attempts to register to the router.

For example, we are not using our voice gateway as our data router, so it is totally possible, although unlikely that our phones may loose WAN connectivity but the router (and MGCP gateways) do not. In this instance, I believe the phones will register to the router, activating SRST, but the MGCP gateways will continue to be registered with HQ subscribers.

While not ideal, at least the phones can still communicate to each other. Come to think of it, this might be one reason to have the analog ports registered as H323 so they will always be able to send 911 calls out.

I'd prefer the alias command, under the call-manager-fallback, since it only works while in srst mode.

I am a big fan of a num-exp for 0 to the registered extension.
