I believe the "message monitor" feature you are looking for is not fully supported until v5 but it is available as a "first look" in v4.2.

Take a look here and do a CTRL-F for "message monitor" I believe it's the last one.

  I understand in Unity 4.2 you can listen to someone leaving you a voicemail, if you like what they are saying you can pickup the call? Allows you to screen calls from pest salespeople.

   

  I don't see where in the guides how to use this or configure Unity call monitoring.
