Yes, It is important in resolving that issue to improve voice quality because it will affect it.
The forum does not know your config but make sure that you have the commands below
network-clock-participate wic 0 (whatever slot the VWIC is in)
network-clock-select 1 T1 0/0/0
Get your clocking from the provider.

i have a problem with occasional echo on voip phone. while i was gathering info i came across the "slip sec" error. i found out what i means but is it critical? if so, how can i fix it?
do you guys have any idea?
