A 64k or 128k link may be okay if there is absolutely nothing else on
the line. When you have a user on one of those links and they start
checking email or browsing the web, the call quality will degrade almost
completely.

Subject: [cisco-voip] ip communcator issuess !!!
hi to all..
did any of you guys experienced problems with ip communicator and voice
quality issues ( of course you did - J )..
in LAN everything is perfectly fine of course..
through cisco vpn ( cable, adsl ), especially using wireless internet
access caller on the ip communicator can hear other side fine or so, but
other side hears very badly or choppy signal coming from ip communicator
or cannot hear at all..
both sides are routabile..option "optimize for low bandwith" is
checked..CIPC is 2.0(2)..cisco vpn client is 4.8..
all i can think off is qos or vpn issues..so i'm just checking does
anybody know
is there any catch about this..
i think 64k or 128 k link should be fine when you're using g729 (
optimize for low bandwith )..
thanx..
regards..
