Are you not able to track calls to a pilot point? I am talking CDR
records that is.
I have an issue where we have two different companies under the same
roof, using the same CallManager system whose main numbers go to the
the same receptionist using Attendant Console. I setup two AC pilot
point and hunt groups, first three lines of the AC phone belongs to
one hunt group and therefore pilot point. The other three lines
belong to another.
The company is actually the same company, with the same name
basically, but is split into two companies serving different functions
obviously.
Anyway, the receptionist has stated that many callers come in on the
wrong number. Basically she answers expecting a call for company A,
but they are looking for company B. So word has gotten back to me
that the phone system is broke and calls are routed wrong.
I say that since the companies have the same name, are both listed in
the phone book, its just a situation of people seeing the name and
calling the number and not knowing the difference.
I have tried looking at CDR records for the pilot points but nothing
shows up. I can see CDR records for the extensions within the hunt
group that the pilot point goes to.
However I can't seem to find a good way of confirming what number was
dialed I see the callers caller ID and then I just seem the extension
they were sent to within the hunt group.
Probably no good was of actually determing this through records or
anything huh? I suggested they ask the callers what number they
dialed. One thing I need to confirm though is I think each company
has their own PRI their number is on, so I could see in the CDR what
gateway the call is coming in own and this would then tell me what I
need possibly.
Ah well just throwing this out there in case I am missing anything
easy and obvious.
