Hard to believe in this day and age you would have such a performance gap 
on comparable servers.   Maybe someone has found a way to cut it down a 
bit.

Most of this is due to processor time.  HP has always been way ahead of 
the curve compared to IBM with offloading most processor requirements onto 
the RAID card.  Another reason I prefer compaq servers over big blue.

After working with the HP MCS servers and IBM MCS servers we have found a 
HUGE difference in rebuild time for mirrored drives.    The HP's usually 
rebuild in about 20-30 mins.  The IBM's take about 5 hrs.  Is there 
anything that can be done to speed up the IBM process? Are there any known 
issues?
