I think I have heard (but don't quote me) that 6 will also be Linux
(appliance) based. CM 7 is where the two will come back together.

I'm not sure that 6 won't be announced at Voice con next month, but Like
I said I didn't hear it at a NDA so its all hear say.

They are moving to different version skipping 5 because 5 is linux
(application) only.

Hope that helps (or helps to feed the rumor mill)

Scott

PS.... If I'm wrong.... I'm sure someone will correct me =)

Hi,

What is the word on the street about CCM 6.0? What is the required
hardware and OS version? Can a person run a mixed OS environment, say
2000 and 2003? What is the release date, and why is Cisco moving from 4
train to the 6 train for Windows?

Thanks for the info.

Rob
