Having CAD users not be Local Administrator is unsupported by Cisco in all current versions. It's in the manual. It creates problems such as failover in a HA cluster won't work properly. It's problems you usually can't see.

Cisco is working on a future CAD that requires fewer permissions than root/Administrator! Trust me I complained about the permission issue.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Cisco CRS upgrade question

Has anyone upgraded to the new UCCX version yet? How did you handle the CAD upgrade that goes with it? Our end users are users only, not power users or local admins. With over 200 machines to update, I wonder a good way to do it.

Thanks.

Jerri
