Sometimes you have to upgrade the IOS to support a particular card as well. And it might even need a particular train as well.

  Hello All

  Thanks for the responses!

Second question, is there any way to get a "WIC-1DSU-T1" to work on a Cisco 2801? I could have sworn I've used this card in a 2801 in the past, but I get this error at boot:

*Apr 9 11:10:12.207: %CFG-3-CARD_NOT_SUPPORTED: Slot 1: Unrecognized cookie format for card!

  Hello All

I know this is off topic, just looking for a quick yes/no... I need to add a WIC to my Cisco 2801, does anyone know if the slots are hot swappable, or do I need to shut down my router?

  Thanks~
