[cisco-voip] Changing a CCM server to a dedicated TFTP server

Another question on this scenario -

Under 4.1.3 once the ccmservice is deactivated will this server need to be added as a BARS target because it is no longer part of the replication scheme?

And if so how would this server be backed up once upgraded to 6.1.1?

Thanks
Steve

Hi Steven,

Yep, same on 6.x. Menus are a bit different, but still the same process
/ccmservice
service activation
deactivate callmanager

Since you are making a dedicated TFTP server you may consider increasing the serving threads under TFTP service parameters if this a large installations with many endpoints that would benefit from more concurrent TFTP downloads.

Thank You Wes!

Would this also hold true for a Call Manager 6.1.1 subscriber?

Stephen,

You simply need to deactivate the CAllManager service on that node from /ccmservice under service activation.

I have a 4.1.3 Call Manager subscriber server that no longer has any phones registered to it that is used in my option 150 scope. I would like to make it a dedicated TFTP server. Is it as easy as stopping the Call Manager service and setting it to manual or disabled?

Thanks!
Steve
