Hi Wes and everyone,

unfortunately i don´t know how to write AXL-Scripts. Where can i find some good information to start learning how to create AXL Scripts. Especially for Callmanager 5.X/6.X and above?

Pretty easy to write. Architecture overview:

1) configure phone service with #DEVICENAME# so phone will pass its device name when service is accessed
2) assign the the service to a line button
3) on the server that hosts the service perform axl update for the specific devicename

/Wes

This is one feature we still miss from the old centrex phones, was called call forward variable. Once it was set the users could just hit the button to toggle the forwarding. Not a big deal but they really liked the convenience.
On the plus side though we don't have any service calls now for people that forget how to re-program it.

The only alternative is to create a new VM profile and pilot for the user
and have them press two buttons, fwd and messages.

Chances are they don't forward to VM as often as they want to forward to
this other destination.

Not scalable though.
