That's correct, unless you use something like the old PBX as an
intermediate device to do the conversion for you, I believe that Westell
also used to produce DASS and DPNSS gateways though they're no longer
listed on their website.

We converted two PRIs from DASS to euro ISDN when me migrated from an
old (obsolete) PBX system that didn't support euro ISDN to Callmanager,
the terminations had to be converted from BNC to RJ45 by BT along with
configuration changes within their network. Everything was sequenced so
that the conversion happened on the Friday evening on the weekend of
migration and it all went smoothly.

BT can sometimes take a (long) while before they can carry out the work
after they've received the order so you may have to bear this in mind in
terms of planning any migration or deployment.
